A Little About Me!

Hi, I’m Marshall Haque. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and moved to the United States when I was three years old. I grew up between the vibrant city of Chicago and the quiet suburbs of Minnesota, a blend of environments that shaped who I am today. Throughout my life, I’ve had phases where I became completely immersed in different passions whether it was art, hockey, or a school subject that sparked my curiosity. When something grabs my attention, I give it everything I’ve got. As a kid, I had a huge imagination. Give me a pencil and a blank sheet of paper, and I was in my element. Whether I was sketching for hours, filming Lego stop-motion movies on the floor, or keeping up with Marvel, DC, Star Wars, or Jurassic Park, storytelling and creativity were always part of my world. Everything shifted on my 14th birthday when I received my first camera. That Canon T5 became more than a gift, it became a turning point. Since then, I’ve upgraded to the Canon 80D and now the R5, but more importantly, photography became my obsession. It opened the door to incredible places, introduced me to inspiring people, and brought me closer to my family. Recently, it’s also brought me closer to someone incredibly special, my fiancée, Maria. Being engaged is an exciting chapter in my life, and sharing my passion for photography with her has added a whole new layer to it. I’ve been introducing her to the art of photography, and it’s been amazing to watch her grow creatively and to have her by my side, not just in life but behind the lens, too. Now, as a graduate of Full Sail University with a bachelor’s degree in film, I’m stepping into a future full of creative opportunities. Photography has changed my life in so many ways — and with Maria beside me, that journey is more meaningful than ever. And the best part? We’re just getting started.
